So sewing busy...!

Well, i have at last finished (or at least handed in) the twins nativity costumes. I am really proud of them although i do think they look very 'home-made'. The kids are really excited and i can't wait to see them perform! My babies up there - i will be soooo proud if they actually go through with it rather than doing what i'm expecting which is bottle it. Awful thing to say i hear you cry! Yep but only last week Jack was scared of having his photo taken... so fingers crossed xx!

Those are ears flapping on the side!

Am most proud of the tail... which you can't see!

So those have been keeping me busy - especially those blooming cotton wool balls - they kept coming unravelled and unstuck so i attempted to sew as many down as possible... took forever. What was i thinking? A friend posted on my facebook that Sainsbury's were selling relevant costumes for £12 - i spent that just in fabric glue!!!

It's been a tough week actually as for some reason i thought it would be a good idea for the kids to have their jabs even tho we hadn't received the reminder letters?? They did so well bless them, they both cried (don't blame them especially as they were watching the nurse stab them in the arm!) and even chocolate buttons didn't really cut it as consolation but they didn't give any trouble really. Abbie had a temperature that night and was quite sick all over her bed late evening, the temperature continued and turns out she had tonsilitis - not good timing for the jabs then?! Bless her she really was out of sorts - missed pre-school as well. Jack had been fine up until the weekend and has been coughing since. So Lauren & I thought we'd join in the action and we're feeling quite rough now. And now Neil has just taken some paracetamol :O :O - unheard of!

So there's not been much chance to crack on with the secret castle. But OMG! If you get chance, have a go at textured spray paint!!!! You would not believe how much fun that is!

Oh, and in my 'spare' time i knocked up this little crib from a cardboard box for Abbie's doll and am planning to crochet some clothes...

With duvet and pillow
